Custom Nickies™

LN Engineering is proud to offer our Nickies™, the ultimate cylinders for your powerful & reliable aircooled engine.

It is not always that you hear high performance and long life paired together, especially when referring to performance aircooled engines. It is very typical, even with high-powered cooling systems, that high-performance engines run too hot, and as you know heat kills!

Higher operating temperatures result in a thermally overloaded engine that, among other things, has cylinders that fail to seal against the head and have significantly shorter life spans versus stock displacement engines.

Nickies™ make the difference!

LN Engineering currently manufactures several Nickies™ cylinders lines for various Porsche 356, 911, and other applications, custom-made to the end-user's specifications and designed for resale under other brand names or for shops specifically for their customers only. 

We currently offer Nickies™ for the Corvair as well as for the Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer and Halflinger through our custom Nickies program as well as quite a few other specialty applications.

If you need custom Nickies™, please give us a try - from one set to dozens, we can accommodate your needs and respect your need for privacy or exclusivity.

Normal lead time for custom Nickies™ is six or more weeks depending on our production schedule. Although we will try to accommodate most custom cylinder requests at no charge, some will be subject to a custom cylinder fee of $250 plus any additional tooling or setup charges. For orders smaller than four cylinders, an additional surcharge of $250 may be applied to your order.
