As part of the rebuild process for your Porsche Boxster, Cayman, or Boxster M96/M97 engine, the locator dowels and sleeves need to be removed and are often damaged in the process. We recommend replacing them with Genuine Porsche parts which we have conveniently bundled with new case freeze plugs (Porsche refers to these as lids) that should also be installed during engine reassembly.
