Genuine Bosch Porsche Oxygen Sensors

Your Porsche’s oxygen (o2) sensors are responsible for measuring the air fuel ratio. When the oxygen sensor goes bad, often engines will run rich meaning the engine is receiving too much fuel, and will experience reduced fuel economy. In the case of Porsche engines with Nikasil, Lokasil, or Alusil bores, excess fuel will wash down the cylinder bores, leading to increased piston, ring, and cylinder wear. This can contribute to cylinder bore scoring common to Porsche 986/987 Boxster, Cayman, and 996/997 911 models with the M96 or M97 engine and other engines with Alusil engine blocks. Oxygen sensors should be replaced every 60,000 to 90,000 miles to ensure proper engine function on all aircooled and watercooled Porsche models. LN Engineering recommends installing genuine Bosch oxygen sensors for all Porsche models.
