Engines with Direct Injection Need Special Oils

Driven’s DI Synthetic Engine Oil is designed specifically for Direct Fuel Injection Engines. The DI oil delivers cutting-edge lubricant technology specifically developed for direct injection engines. The DI oil utilizes an advanced additive package designed to reduce abnormal combustion, such as low speed pre-ignition issues, and protects against soot related wear. A lower volatility base oil also reduces crankcase vapors and carbon buildup on intake valves. All in a formula that will not harm your catalytic converter or gasoline particulate filters.**

Recommended for all Porsche engines with Direct Injection

Porsche Cayenne, Macan, Panamera as well as 987.2 / 981 / 718 Boxster/Cayman and 997.2/991/991.2 911 models with direct injected engines can benefit from Driven DI40 motor oil and provides superior protection in direct injected engines to A40 or C40 oil for year round use where a 0w40 or 5w40 viscosity is recommended.

Please note Driven oils do not have Porsche approval as their formulation chemistry would not allow them to meet either of the A40 or C40 requirements. Both 0w40 and 5w40 are approved viscosities by Porsche for engines where an A40 or C40 oil is recommended.

Increased Moly Content

Typically, most European oils have 0 to 50ppm of moly. Driven DI40 has 300ppm of moly in the form of MoDTC. Research has shown that increases in ZDDP and moly content can help reduce wear in engines with hypereutectic bores, like Alusil and Lokasil.

Meets ACEA C2 and C3 Standards

**All DI oils meet ACEA C2/C3 specifications for sulfated ash with an average 0.72 (mass %).

Please note there has been a labeling change for this product from 0w40 to 5w40, but please be assured the formulation has not changed. Until the old supply has run out, you may still receive product in the older packaging.
