    Makes oil changes easy again and save some $$$ at the same time by bundling our spin-on oil filter adapters with a magnetic drain plug, oil filters, or other upgrades for your 1997-2008 Porsche Boxster, Cayman, or 911 engine. We recommend oil changes every 6 months or 5000 miles, whichever comes first, using Driven DT40 engine oil. Please note that magnetic drain plug shown in photo is optional and must be added to the bundle if desired. Due to filter availability, we may substitute Mann ML1013, Mahle OC999, or Baldwin B31 oil filters for the Napa Gold 1042 / Wix 51042 filter and we may substitute Napa Gold 1215, Wix 51215, Mann W7015, Mahle OC1063, Hengst H319W, or Baldwin BT223 oil filters for the Napa Gold 1348 / Wix 51348 filter. The only Napa Gold filter we recommend is the one made by Mann-Hummel (Wix) made in Mexico or the USA; purchasing your replacement oil filter from LN Engineering will ensure you receive the correct filter for your engine.     Don't accept cheap imitators. Our billet stainless steel magnetic drain plugs are made in the USA, feature rare earth magnets, and are lasered with the LN logo and torque spec (37 ft/lb). One 18 x 24 x 1.5mm drain plug washer/gasket/seal is included (uses part number 900-123-106-30) which should be replaced every time you change your oil.

    The addition of a magnetic drain plug allows for quick and easy inspection of overall engine health and for identification of engine problems from foreign object debris collected by our magnet.

    Fits MY97-08 M96 and M97 engines and MY09 and later 9A1 DFI engines used in Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models as well as models listed below.

    Intermediate shaft (IMS) rebuild service includes inspection of IMS for runout, re-conditioning, and pinning of the main drive sprocket. Did you know the IMS drive sprockets aren't indexed or keyed? The intermediate shaft is made up of 3 sprockets pressed onto a tube, which means they can move, and even worse, they can come out of alignment of the IMS bearing housing bore. Excess runout will lead to increased bearing and chain wear! Please verify the correct IMS chain drive before ordering. If advance replacement is selected, you will be charged a refundable core charge and you will receive an early or late shaft that may have a different ims housing bore for single row, dual row, or 06-08 bearing, depending on our current inventory. If the core you supply has been modified in any way, suffered any failure or damage, or has more than .005” of runout, the core charge will not be refunded to you and your intermediate shaft core will be returned at your expense if requested. If you are purchasing an IMS bearing from us, it is best to contact us first as to what cores we have available so as to ensure you purchase the right replacement bearing. If requested, we will install the bearing for you in the intermediate shaft for no charge as part of our IMS reconditioning service when you purchase an IMS bearing upgrade from LN Engineering.     The IMS Pro Tool kit includes the required bearing puller and driver, camshaft, and crankshaft locks for installation of IMS Retrofit, IMS Solution, and RND RS Roller IMS bearing kits. Kit also includes adapters to pull stock and LN IMS bearings as well as our ez-out tool which allow removal of the stock bearing when the center stud breaks during bearing extraction. 106-08.2.2 Single Row Pro IMS Retrofit also requires purchase of Faultless IMS Tool 106-08.22; IMS Solution and all IMS bearing kits for 2006-2008 models (engine disassembly required) also require the IMS Supplemental Tool Kit 106-08.21.
